Physical
body
We forget that the body is
the horse which we are called upon to ride for the whole of our lives; an
instrument which cannot be replaced. Certainly, it must be trained, disciplined
and kept in its place, which is to be obedient; but it is nonetheless true that
it must be suitably cared for and maintained. The result to seek in this domain
is always a state of discipline which compromises neither health nor vigour.
We must tune the instrument
which emits discordant sounds, not cut the strings to stop the cacophony.
Boris Mouravieff, Gnosis,Vol.I, 1961/1989 Praxis Press
I
would like for every woman…to think about what it would be like to be fully
CHERISHED as a divinely creative being whose "inspirations" and
thoughts and talents and intellect and intuitions, etc etc, were honored,
respected, and FACILITATED by the men in their lives?
Just
think about it. Imagine it. Try to feel it.
Think
about what it would be like to be listened to attentively when you speak...
your words and thoughts given full value... your ideas discussed seriously and
then implemented with cooperation?
And
then, men, think about what a woman might be able to share from herself if this
cosmic sea of potential was opened up and allowed to flow freely? Just think
how, if you pay close attention to her moods, her thinking, where her attention
goes, how much in tune with the cosmos you can be THROUGH her natural role as
"seer?" And think about the fact that she can do this BEST when her
creativity is in full flow... when there are no obstacles and blocks and
suppressions and repressions and attempts to own or control what SHE DOES BEST
NATURALLY?
What
does this mean in practical terms?
It
means that a man develops a part of himself that gives constant attention to
her - to notice the expression of tiredness, of frustration, of sadness, of
feelings of all kinds - and he immediately consults with her to find out the
source of these expressions and then - as her protector - tries to find the
solution to the issue. If she is tired, he makes it possible for her to rest.
If
she is frustrated, he seeks a way to help her express what is not being
expressed. If she is sad, he consoles and comforts her - because her tiredness
expresses the fact that she is low on energy and loving attention to that fact
is what is needed to recoup the energy... Sometimes the only thing needed is to
be listened to, to share, to talk, to be acknowledged.
Other
times, in cyclic periods, a woman needs complete and total devotion to
compensate for the loss of "creative vigor." And the fact is, a man
can RECEIVE this creative energy in a sort of psychic transfer by being
attentive to the fact that it is being dispensed from her physical body and carefully
enclosing her with love and nurture. He is effectively receiving it by the
act of protection and enclosing her so
that it is not stolen by outside influences.
How
many times have any of you ever heard pejorative remarks about women during
their periods? How "moody" they become? How you just have to put them
down as being "crazy" or lock them away in the darkness? How would a
woman feel if, when she starts to have PMS, the man in her life notices it by
the fact that he has developed the ability to keep her constantly in his mind
as the source of his inspiration? And when he notices it, he knows that NOW
there is a cosmic transducing taking place and she is "weak" in her
physical structure because the energies passing through her are so powerful - and
MORE THAN EVER she needs love, attention, understanding, nurture, and
"enclosing devotion" that protects her during this monthly passage?
And
by this act of "devotion," he becomes the recipient of that inspired
energy? By ACCEPTING it, he receives it? But even women have been conditioned
to refer to it as "the curse."
Whoa!
What
if it is NOT a curse? What if it is one of the most important and significant
things a woman does every month? What if it is the physical SYMBOL if a sort of
psychic transfer of energy in potential?
Well,
if it was thought about that way, if men understood the true meaning of the
potential that lies therein, they would certainly behave VERY differently
toward a woman during this time!
And
believe me, this understanding of women can change the universe.

Even
the best organized physical body is a prison for the Spirit for the human being
bound by sensuality. The more a human
being frees himself from these chains, the freer his Spirit will be. The more effective the power of the Spirit
becomes, the closer the Human Being comes to the Light. The release of sensuous obstacles results in
being closer to God, to perfection.
[…]
There
is a language of the Soul through which only similar Souls can make themselves
understood.
It
lies within the power of the Human Spirit to know and understand the thoughts
of another human being. It lies within the power of the Human Spirit to look
through the curtain of the future and to see things which are a puzzle to most
other human beings.
The
more a human being is subject to or influenced by his carnal desires, physical
cravings, or coarse sensuality, the further his spirit is removed from the
Secrets of Nature. The more worldly the passions, the
less the Human Being can see. The more the Spirit accumulates the energies of
the Spirit, the more sensuality diminishes.
Nature
can speak only to those with fine organs.
Refinement of the senses is the path to approach the Secrets of Nature.
Von Eckartshausen, Higher Knowledge
…There
are TWO languages: the language of the intellect and the language of the
heart. And we now have the idea
that
this "language of the heart" is not the ordinary idea of it that many
of us may have.
The
"heart" language receives "pictures" out of
"feelings." But we also now
know that these "feelings" that are being discussed in this context
are NOT the "feelings" that we ordinarily understand. In any event,
the "heart" receives an "impression" and this impression is
a "surge of energy" - that is, it IS making contact with the guy
walking down the
street
wearing the blue cap. There IS direct
"cognition," but the energy of this impression is instantly
INTERPRETED according to the concepts that have been formed in a certain
context - either positive or negative - and these concepts of the intellect may
or may not have anything to do with the essence of the man walking down the
street in a blue cap.
For
most people, it's six of one, half dozen of the other. Sometimes they are right sometimes they are
wrong.
Souls
do not "speak" to one another in words. Their language is the language of the heart -
"graphic conception."
These
pure impressions are "B" influences.
But separating them out from all the morass of contextual programs which
are programmed into the automatic responses of the physical body is the tough
part.
How
many people have met someone and felt a strong "surge" of this
emotional energy, and have interpreted it as "sexual attraction,"
only to later realize that this was a mistake?
How
many people receive the "impression" of physical beauty with the
physical eyes, and automatically translate it into thinking that a relationship
with that person might be desirable - that the person might be
"spiritually" on the
same
"wavelenght?" Only to find out
later that this was a big mistake?
We
receive our impressions of the world by our senses - our "organ" of
experience and translation. Our physical
body is like a "translation" device worn by our Soul.
If
you have ever watched a sci-fi movie where the characters have nifty little
gadgets that automatically translate the language of inhabitants of other
planets and feed it right into the ear, you have an idea of what the body does
for the soul. The only problem is: the fidelity of the device depends upon the
program installed. Our translation
devices have been seriously garbled.
They translate things according to either what has happened to us in the
past, or what we would like to have happen to us in the future.
Perceptions
are impressions which our body receives from the phenomena in our environment,
or from their resemblance. The phenomenon produces "movement" in us. This movement consists of inner feelings
which are triggered in the Soul through the perceptions - a sort of
"resonance." If we take care to observe the phenomenon, to carefully
note the direct or indirect effect it has on our physical body, we can learn to
recognize our "programs."
This
"resonance" within has little or nothing to do with
"mirroring" in the sense that we "attract" what is inside
us. Rather, it has to do with the fact
that we have had certain experiences in the past that are remembered and
associated with the new phenomenon currently being perceived. We associate our past experience with the new
experience, and we "read" it that way.
This
may or may not be TRUTH.
When
the "reading" is "truth," and subsequent consequences prove
that truth, it "strengthens" the "truth reading" mechanism.
When our reading is false, and subsequent consequences demonstrate that
falsity, it only suggests that we need to take some care in adjusting our
"reading" mechanism - even if by trial and error.
The
objective is to accumulate "readings" of impressions that are based
on TRUTH.
The
being, the substance in us which gives us feeling, makes us think, gives us the
Will to act, is the Soul.
The
physical body cannot "feel" or "perceive" anything. It only translates according to its
programming. If Truth is assimilated, the Soul is amplified and grows. If programs are allowed to run unchecked, the
soul energy diminishes
accordingly.
